A monochrome camera will always out perform the same camera with a color sensor for spatial and contrast resolution while it loses the color resolution.  If you like monochrome pictures, you need a monochrome camera!  Converting a color picture to monochrome in post never will work as well because the detail and contrast resolution was never captured.
